Trawling the internet today I found this picture and it led me to an article one Trendland.com. It is part of his show at Stux Gallery in New York City, which is on up to 20th Oct 2012. It is the work for Ruud Van Empel who makes photo collages. This work reminds me the German artists Olaf Hajek and Kehinde Wiley, I like how they all build a whole from parts that seem quite separate, I also like the magical realism aspect to it. The image is of some thing real but there is something other worldly about it.
